So, it has been a strange week. Currently, I am unemployed due to some budget issues at work. I will still be occasionally making a Food Rant, but they will be less frequent. Regardless, those videos are fun for me.
Before I found out about losing my job, I had been looking for a part time youth minister gig. To be honest, I’ve really been missing youth ministry a lot lately. After being away from it for over a year, I am being drawn back. For me, there is nothing better than making an impact in the lives of students for the cause of Christ.
Since I no longer have a full time job, I will now be looking for a full time youth ministry position. This will take time. They always do. So in the meantime, I have to find some work in between. Who knows?
Anyway, I just wanted to give you an update. I don’t know how many people actually look at this site, but for those of you that do, thank you.
Here are some sites that I have been digging lately:

As I write this, I have been awake for over 27 hours straight. I’m starting to get a little slap happy. So please excuse any weird or unusual sentences. I ride my bike over tubs of butter every Tuesday.
The reason for my lack of sleep is due to Nick Lachey and elves. Last night, I had the opportunity to shoot a commercial for Cincinnati Bell (a phone company) in Cincinnati. The spokesman for this particular company is none other than the ex-husband of Jessica Simpson and Cincinnati native, Nick Lachey (Nick also won “Clash of the Choirs” on NBC last December, which was an awesome show that I think I should be embarrassed that I like so much, but I don’t care what you think). I was in the background playing a sales associate in the store. Nick served as ‘Saint Nick’ and was flanked by dwarfs dressed as elves for this Christmas commercial. Needless to say, it was an interesting experience.
On top of that, I learned a lot about dwarfism from some of the dwarf actors.
All in all, it was a good night. Now, I just want to see how long I can go without sleeping. The over/under is five minutes.

Yesterday I finally hit the big time. I was an extra guest prankster on the show “Mabe in America” that is currently running on CMT. Our show should air in the next 4 to 5 weeks.
There was a lot of sitting and waiting on the set, but that was to be expected. But when we were actually filming, it was a lot of fun. “Mabe in America” is a hidden camera show. Here’s the setup for our prank: Tom Mabe calls a store and alerts them that a man in a red shirt and dark blue hat has been spotted in their neighborhood and he has been shoplifting. Right after that call is made, eight different guys (me included) walk into the store in one minute intervals wearing red shirts and dark blue hats. Watching the reactions of the store owners out of the corner of my eye was pretty funny.
Hopefully, I will have more stories to tell of my life as an extra actor.

There are lots of new things going on in my life right now. Here are some of those exciting things:
On July 10 I am going to be an extra for a show that will air on CMT. I’ve officially made it. It is all down hill from here. I’ve peaked.
I’m getting ready to launch two new shows for the company I work for in the next two weeks. The first is called “The Rookie Cook,” which is a how-to show for amateur cooks. The other is a simple show called “Food Rants,” that allows people to positively or negatively comment on the food of the day. It should be interesting.
I will also be in another show called “Dog Knows.” I’ll let you know more about it later.
On top of that, I’m playing lots of Putt-Putt and Frisbee Golf.
And of course, I’m watching “Celebrity Family Feud” and “Wipeout.”
Obviously there is a lot going on right now.
