That is my new motto.
I recently competed in a Putt-Putt Golf Tournament and took home second place in the Amateur Division…thank you very much. Since I’m new to the sport, I hope to work my way up to the Pro Division. But that is going to take a lot of hard work, time, and a caddy.
The course I play at holds tournaments every Monday, so if anyone is interested in dressing up as my caddy, carrying around a bag of putters, and wearing my last name on their back, please contact me as soon as possible. If I want to be a Pro, I need to act like one.
As my caddy, if you tell me bad advice, I will beret you in front of everyone, just to show that I’m important (I don’t really mean it…you’re a lovely person, I’m sure). I will throw my putter and force you to retrieve it. And every time I get a hole-in-one, you must hoist me on your shoulders and chant my name.
If that doesn’t sound like fun, I don’t know what fun is. I look forward to hearing from you.

I love the Boston Red Sox. I have loved them since I was 7 years old.
I have traveled to Baltimore, Kansas City, New York, and Boston to see them play. Out of all those times, I have seen one rain out (Baltimore), five losses in Kansas City (including a three-game sweep from the Royals…the freaking Royals), one loss in New York (I didn’t wear any Red Sox gear to that game because I went by myself), and two losses in Boston.
For those keeping score at home that makes nine games that I have attended and not seen the Red Sox win.
But as of June 15, 2008, that curse is broken. I traveled with my wife to Cincinnati to watch the Sox play the Reds in the last game of a three game series. Final score: 9-0. The Red Sox finally win while I am in attendance. Thank you Cincinnati Reds for giving up four home runs and producing no offense.
